Mariana was born and raised in Brazil, where she started her degree in Journalism. It was around 2016, with the political situation in the country that she started to get more involved with activism and feminist issues. After moving to Portugal, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and began her Master’s in Gender Studies at NOVA. Right now, her focus is the study of the misogynistic and Eurocentric perspective of Brazilian women in Europe.
Her interests include LGBTQI+ rights, intersectionality in the feminist movement and immigration
