Maria Luís Fernandes is a Communications and Media professional specialised in social, civic and political issues, currently working for an environmental NGO based in Brussels. After completing an LL.B. in Law from NOVA School of Law, she went on to pursue a Master’s in Communication and Digital Media from Tilburg University, where she developed research on Disinformation. She takes an interest in arts and culture, politics, media and journalism, and equality and social justice. She engages with these interests through projects such as volunteering for Young Educators – European Association as a co-host for the Pink Talks podcast and managing Falso Nove, a Lisbon-based band. She believes in the strength of communication and stories and tries to put it in practice through her writing.
