According to the Urban Dictionary, the word coined by the blog Jezebel in 2007 describes a man who comes across as feminist due to his sensitive, emo demeanor but who is in fact emotionally immature and adheres to unrealistic fantasies of women.
Because he doesn’t participate equally in relationships with real women he is woman-hating, therefore emosogynist.
He acts emotional and seems like a feminist, but he is pretending because what he wants is to manipulate girls and eventually discard them after he finds himself.
